PHRASAL VERBS GROUP  WORK AND SPEAKING ASSIGNMENT 

Dear students, you have several goals for this group work assignment. First, you are to teach the class the phrasal verbs that you are assigned for this project. Everybody must speak during the teaching part of this assignment. Second, you are to present those phrasal verbs in some kind of dialogue which shows them used in conversation. Finally, you must make sure that everybody in the group speaks at least 7 times each during the dialogue. This is a group work grade and speaking  grade! The presentation should last between 10 and 15 minutes. 

Group 1: will be presenting the following phrasal verbs: take aback, take after, take along, take apart, and take around.You will present these phrasal verbs on Monday, October 10th.  

Group 2: will be presenting the following phrasal verbs: take aside, take away, take back, take care of, take down a take for. You will present these phrasal verbs on Monday, October 10th.  

Group 3 : Will be presenting the following phrasal verbs: take in, take off and take on. You will present these phrasal verbs on Wednesday, October 12th.  

Group 4: Will  be presenting the following phrasal verbs: take out, take over, take up and take upon. You will present these phrasal verbs on Wednesday, October 12th.

Hi! Dear students. Here you have some resources in order to practice ed pronunciation. In addition, memorize the dialogue and present it in pairs, be careful with the pronunciation of the regular verbs in (bold). (you have to present it on Monday 19th) 






Dialogue 
Kathy: Tom, have you started your diet? I hope you haven’t gained weight.

Tom: I boiled eggs and sliced celery for lunch.

Kathy: Have you exercised at all?

Tom: I walked 5 miles and jogged in the park.

Kathy: Have you cleaned the house? Calories can be worked off that way.

Tom: I washed and waxed the floors. I even painted the bathroom.

Kathy: Who baked this apple pie? Who cooked this ham?

Tom: When I finished cleaning, I was starved. I prepared this food for dinner.

Kathy: Oh, no! I’ll take this food home so you won’t be tempted . I really enjoyed being with you.     Your diet is great!

Tom: What happened? Somehow, I missed out on all the fun.
